Paul Greenberg concluded that there were four priorities that must be focused on in order to help our fisheries. One to initiate a profound reduction in fishing effort. Two, create more and enforce no fishing zones with ocean ecosystems. Three, protection of species that are very hard to conserve if threatened. Lastly, to protect the food web by protecting primary producers. These priorities are to protect the wild fish. These priorities also question human decisions on fishing and sustainability and points out the bad decisions being made to sustain a fishery. I would suggest that fisheries need to be placed under considerable scrutiny to ensure that management is being done correctly. I feel like this is only going to fix a small part of the problem but with a better management of fisheries using these priorities it will help curve some of the fishery sustainability issues.
