Along with Greenbergs four priorities he states in Four Fish, I would add along with it that we put wild populations habitats before anything else. As in when a resort goes to build a huge hotel on a beach where a certain kind of sea turtles breed, make it a regulation that they can’t urbanize an area if it in any way harms a wild population and their habitat. Often these habitats can be used as a tourist attraction and that just causes harm to that species in one way or another.
I agree, too long has the tourist industry gotten away with a full disregard of the rules because of tourists. This needs to stop and have the natural habitats be the main concern.
I agree that stricter regulations need to be pout on wild habitats to ensure they stay healthy. For example Hawaii has stopped all sunscreen from coming onto the island due to its harmful effects to coral reefs.
