I agree that we need to focus on helping salmon be more successful as a species, rather than turn all of our attention to breeding. However, we’ve also started genetically engineering other foods because there isn’t enough to feed our growing population. I think if the domestic breeding of salmon hadn’t happened yet it would be inevitable anyway since it’s such a commonly eaten fish, despite that I don’t necessarily agree with it.
