When I study for exams or quizzes, I like to look over my notes for the material that we are going to be tested on. Usually it helps me to skim it over once and then go back through and look in more detail at the subjects that are possibly more important. I’m a visual learner, so I like to draw diagrams or graphs that help me understand the subject material better. Also, if the teacher says this is important, or it might be on the exam later, I put a asterisk next to it so I can go back to the specific section of my notes to look over it. Also, studying for too long doesn’t seem to help. I like to take breaks or use a reward system. I make myself a snack after studying for a certain amount of time, or take a break and walk around for a little while. I try to quiz myself a little bit in my head, but that doesn’t always work. I end up just looking at my notes. I also take a lot of notes and I’m not sure if that helps, but usually it helps me remember things if I write them down.
